Philippine Society of Respiratory Therapy Educators (PSRTE)

The Philippine Society of Respiratory Therapy Educators (PSRTE) is a national professional organization dedicated to uniting academic leaders, faculty, and students in the field of respiratory therapy. It aims to advance respiratory therapy education in the Philippines by promoting academic excellence, fostering collaboration among institutions, and supporting the continuous professional growth of educators. Through training, research, and partnerships with allied health organizations, PSRTE plays a vital role in shaping future respiratory therapists and elevating the standards of respiratory therapy practice in the country.

VISION

PSRTE envisions to be the leading and nurturing professional organization for morally and ethically upright and globally competent Respiratory Therapy educators and students in the Asia-Pacific region by 2032.

MISSION

PSRTE commits to provide quality academic programs in instruction, ethics, community extension and research; life- long learning engagements through local and international collaboration for the continuous growth of the Respiratory Therapy profession following global standards in healthcare professions education.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Collaborate with HEIs, CHED, DOH, PRC and other international organizations in providing quality education through curriculum review, enhancement and standardization of guidelines and policies.
  2. Develop RT professionals with strong ethical and moral values, competent academic and technical skills, flexible, resilient and adoptive attitude to emerging global multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
  3. Enhance research activities and social advocacies through community engagement and service trainings.
  4. Create opportunities for life-long learning by providing post graduate seminars and trainings to all stakeholders.
